I’ve always believed that there’s nothing more important than your health and your loved one’s health. You can never put a price on the security and guarantee of help when in need, especially when you are an expat working in a foreign country far, far away from your home. You never know what could happen, and you should know that in most foreign countries, non citizens may not receive treatment, or even worse, be denied of treatment.
So if you are working professionally in another country, with papers that bind you to work there long term, ask yourself, have you got yourself covered for expat health insurance? If you have not, you should not waste time and get yourself covered as soon as possible. Forget that card your employer gave you that promises expat health insurance coverage, most of the time they are packages managed by Human Resource, but not a qualified insurance agency that are better with handling such cases. With the ease of international travel in the modern world many individuals from all over the globe are choosing to spend more time outside of their home country. In some instances these individuals will choose to permanently relocate to a country that is not their own, these people are known as expatriates.
